Latina Geek GirlStefanie Contreras is a Latinx/Latine author of sci/fi, fantasy, and horror (Romance pen name: Nyx Coronado), a geek girl, an officer with Geek Girl Brunch, a board member at WriteHive and marketing volunteer for Quill and Crow Publishing.
She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated with an M.S. in Communications from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in both Journalism and Advertising from Northern Arizona University. Growing up as an avid life-long reader and fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and YA, Stefanie published The Merry Maids trilogy on Amazon - and is now working on a new fiction series featuring Latina superheroes. She also has three published short stories, The Warlock and the Crow (Rituals & Grimoires anthology), Pestilence (Autumn Nights charity anthology) both written as Stefanie Contreras, as well as Dragon Navidad (One Monstrous Feast: Tails, Trysts, and Tentacles anthology) written as Nyx Coronado. When she’s not reading or writing, she’s probably making TikToks, plotting her next comicon cosplay, or pinning new recipes on Pinterest. Follow Stef @latinageekgirl on Instagram and TikTok. One monstrous feastTails, Trysts, and Tentacles
Guess what's coming to dinner! One Monstrous Feast: Tails, Trysts, and Tentacles - A Monster Romance Anthology just debuted on October 15, 2024.
Eleven indie authors invite you to sink your teeth into this decadent collection of sweet and spicy monster romance short stories. With dragons and demons, mythical beasts, and creatures of legend, One Monstrous Feast is guaranteed to turn up the heat on a chilly autumn night. My short story in this anthology, written under my pen name Nyx Coronado, is titled Dragon Navidad, and it is the closing story in this anthology. Dragon Navidad Description: Dragon shifters are analytical, possessive, and dominant. Camila is all of those things, but when it comes to Ruiz her dragon starts to take over—eager to claim him and make sure he knows he’s a valued part of her hoard. |
Devotion in the open airCollecting Dragonflies
Coming in February 2025, my Collecting Dragonflies short story will appear in Devotion in the Open Air, an affection-themed anthology by Inked in Gray Press and the Women of Color Writers' Circle. This short story is a Studio Ghibli inspired story about a grim reaper who collects the souls of children with help from her sisters.
